Leysin est une base idéale pour des excursions de vélo de montagne. Il ya un grand réseau de sentiers ici dans le village dont certains sont ascenseur servi et nous sommes à seulement quelques minutes du village de Villars qui a un vaste réseau de sentiers ascenseur servi. Il est un court voyage dans la région transfrontalière des Portes du Soleil, et de Haute-Nendaz et Verbier sont juste de l’autre côté de la vallée.
Leysin is a great base for mountain bike trips. There’s a great network of trails right here in the village some of which are lift served and we’re just a few minutes from the village of Villars which has an extensive network of lift served trails. It’s a short trip to the cross border area of the Portes du Soleil, and Haute Nendaz and Verbier are just the other side of the valley.
All forms of cycling are popular in Switzerland and there’s a lot of support for cyclists with marked trails, ski lifts adapted to carry bikes and easy carriage of bikes on public transport. We call mountain bikes “Le vélo tout terrain” or VTT here so you’ll see that abbreviation a lot on maps and signs.
